Five years out of college, I built a house. It was an Acorn Deck House prefabricated post-and-beam home with four bedrooms. The job took three years, working on the weekends with the much-appreciated help from friends. The first photograph shows me and June, the mother of my children, at work erecting the first floor walls.
The second photo shows me, with a full head of hair, exhausted after a day’s work.
I raised my children in that house. Thanks to fellow Calspan employee Charlie Vallone for these photographs!
